Dangal was released in the United States on 21 December 2016 and worldwide on 23 December 2016. The film was shown on an estimated 4300 screens in India and 1000 screens internationally.

The Movie collected ₹29.78 crore (US$4.4 million) on its opening day which is recorded as the second highest non-holiday opening. On its second day, the film collected ₹34.82 crore (US$5.2 million) and on the third day collections were ₹42.35 crore (US$6.3 million) taking the first weekend collections to ₹106.95 crore (US$16 million).

Overseas:

 The As of 4^th Jan 2017, the film has collected ₹159.31 crore (US$24 million) from overseas' markets, making worldwide gross up to ₹576.80 crore (US$86 million).

At Rs 330.96 cr, ‘Dangal’ box office collections beat ‘PK’, set new all-time Bollywood record

Actor Aamir Khan's latest Bollywood flick 'Dangal' continues to be on a record breaking spree since the first day of its release on December 21.

Till yesterday, the sports biopic had earned Rs 330.96 crore. According to trade experts, the film has added more than Rs 10 crore till today to get past ‘PK’, whose box office collection was Rs 340 crore.

The dangal is over. Victory has been achieved achieved. Dangal has beaten Aamir Khan's own PK and Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan to become the highest earning in Hindi film of all time.
